Matte finish question

Hey mooncat peeps! I’m new to polish so please keep that in mind 🥴I want to wear saber tooth, love the blue shimmer and matte finish. I tested it with a top coat of matte made in hell. It seems to my eyes to take away from the blue shimmer and luminosity of the polish. Do you all just not top coat a matte polish or live with some of the dullness of a matte top coat?? Thanks in advance for your insights! Obviously hard to capture the difference with a camera but I tried anyway
